About Pemberley Creative LLC

Carolyn Wynnack (she/her/hers) is a freelance writer and hobby photographer based in Lexington, Kentucky. She is passionate about well-crafted whisky, the power of great storytelling, and the Oxford comma.

As a writer, Carolyn has been breaking the rules since she picked up a pen. Her natural writing style is conversational and driven by a focus on effective communication—not on a rigid idea of how writing “should” be. This allows her to be flexible and adaptable, shifting to meet every client's unique goals and voice.

Carolyn’s published work has spanned essays, formal copy for websites and advertisements, white papers, case studies, and many, many blogs and articles. She is also the face behind @thewhiskytype, an Instagram account that perfectly blends her love of whisky and vintage typewriters.

Before founding Pemberley Creative LLC (as CJ Rousch Creative & Insight) in 2021, Carolyn worked in non-profit and higher education fundraising operations. She has more than 10 years of experience in event management, program development and management, prospect development, training, and data analysis. In that capacity, she wrote everything from donor letters to reports to technical documents and training scripts, often becoming the office’s de facto proofreader and editor.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration/Philosophy) from Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, and a Master of Science in Analytics from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

A Midwesterner at heart, Carolyn currently lives in the Bluegrass State with a cat named Peaty and a dog named Copper. When she’s not at a desk, you might find her reading, traveling, or wobbling on roller skates.
